Kristen Kreutzberg, LAC

Hi and welcome to My Therapy Connection!

My name is Kristen Kreutzberg! I am a Clinical Mental Health Counselor who specializes in working with children and adolescents, particularly using play therapy interventions to support emotional and behavioral growth. If you are a parent feeling concerned about your child’s emotional well-being or a teen struggling to express yourself, I’m here to help.

Together, we’ll create a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment where you can explore challenges, develop new skills, and find healing in ways that feel natural to you. I believe that therapy should be a space where everyone feels seen and heard.

“Whether through talking, playing, or creating art, to explore emotions, my approach is compassionate, non-judgmental, and tailored to your unique needs. I take a collaborative stance, empowering my clients to uncover their strengths and navigate life’s challenges with resilience.”

Training and Education

In 2021, I obtained my undergraduate degree from James Madison University in Psychology with a minor in Family Studies. I recently graduated with my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rider University and am currently working toward earning my Registered Play Therapist (RPT) Certification. During my internship experience, I completed training in Trauma, CBT, MI, DBT, Play and Creative/Expressive Arts Counseling, from Aspire Clinical Training Center and worked with children ages 4-12 as a Play Therapist.
Additionally, I have also obtained more of my professional experience across a variety of diverse settings. I began serving as an Associate Therapist at Princeton Child Development Institute, supporting adults with Autism through ABA interventions. I later went on to working at a college counseling center providing mental health outreach for young adults in a college setting. Finally, I led Performance Arts programs for troubled youth students in high poverty low funding areas, and later designed and facilitated a Creative/Expressive Arts Counseling program for teens transitioning into high school to navigate anxiety and other related adjustment challenges.

Beyond my professional work, I find joy in creativity—whether through music, art, exploring nature, or cooking. These passions inspire my approach to therapy and my belief that healing can emerge in many forms. I would be honored to support you or your family on your journey to growth and healing. If you’re interested in learning more, I invite you to schedule a complimentary 10-minute
